WELCOME TO THE CHALICE 2018!
The Chalice is a 4 week fundraising campaign and culminating 2 day MTG tournament for the benefit of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Puget Sound, the nation's largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network.
We endeavor to raise $30,000 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Puget Sound, to help support their efforts to:
"Create meaningful 1-1 relationships between adult volunteer mentors and kids ages 6 through 18. We serve youth in King and Pierce counties through mentoring programs in communities, schools, and workplaces." -BBBSPS website
On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20th and 21st, 2018, 8 prominent personalities and content creators in the Magic the Gathering realm will gather to compete in a contest of skill and chance at Card Kingdom's award winning brick and mortar local game store-Mox Boarding House in Bellevue, WA.

Donations raised by our 8 tournament players will unlock power-ups to aid them as they compete in 3 different MTG formats to win glory, and victoriously hoist the Chalice!

Here are the three challenges that make up the Chalice tournament:
Guilds of Ravnica Booster Draft
Three rounds of gameplay; Swiss pairings.
Battle Deck “Auction of the People”
Players will bid on eight Battle Decks selected by our community by offering a reduced hand size or starting life total. Once decks are selected, the players will compete in three rounds of Swiss and will each have access to a Battle Deck sideboard.
Magic Block Party
Each player will build their own Magic block by drafting three sets from Magic’s history (plus a Core Set of their choice). Drafts will take place live on Twitter, and draft order will be determined by funds raised.
